The Friends are over the moon because Roger & Beth Steinke, Real Estate Professionals with CENTURY 21 Judge Fite Co.’s Mansfield office, decided to provide $500 for a giving challenge on our first North Texas Giving Day coming up on Sept. 22.
In case you don’t know, Giving Day is an online fundraising event for North Texas nonprofits. This year it’s on Thursday, Sept. 22, from 6 a.m. to midnight. For each donation of $25 or more processed through the Giving Day website, we will receive your donation, plus bonus funds.
To encourage even more participation from the Mansfield community, Roger and Beth Steinke have agreed to make your donation dollars go even further by pledging $500 to create a giving challenge for our donors.
Here’s the deal: If 50 individuals donate to the Friends through the Giving Day website on Sept. 22, Roger & Beth Steinke will donate an additional $500.
If you haven’t seen Roger or Beth around town, know that they are fantastic real estate pros. We’re not just saying this – they have represented some Friends and provided wonderful results. One thing to know about Roger and Beth is that they have kind hearts and take care of customers like they are family. Serving the community is their passion, and they carry that spirit into their professional lives.
To learn more about why they do what they do, we grabbed Roger & Beth for a quick chat.
Why did you decide to move to Mansfield?
We chose Mansfield as our home because of its great schools, convenience to both Dallas and Fort Worth, and great parks and amenities. Mansfield may be the best-kept secret in DFW.
Tell us about your family.
We have 3 boys – all grown up and living their own dreams, and we are excited that our youngest and his wife call Mansfield home, too.
What do you love about being REALTORS®?
Helping families through what can be the biggest purchase of their lives is an honor. We love that there is a home and a price point for EVERYONE here in the DFW area. It’s not like that everywhere.
We’ve sold homes from $70,000 to $800,000, and that means making dreams come true across all economic divides. Seeing families set a housing goal and then helping them reach it, that’s what we love the most about our business.
Why did you decide to donate money to create a Giving Day challenge?
We have always supported local charities through volunteerism and we even helped lead a non-profit organization for a number of years. We truly are a family of service and continue that daily in our community.
What’s one of your favorite things about the library?
When we first moved to Mansfield, we found the private rooms at the library were perfect for us to study, work and read. The staff was always so friendly and welcoming. I think we were there almost every day for about a month.
Is there anything you wish people knew about the library or the Friends?
There is always a way to get involved in your community. Stop telling yourself you want to volunteer one day and go make a difference in your community today. If you don’t have time, you can always find a great nonprofit where your financial gift can make a huge difference. Friends of the Mansfield Public Library is a great place to start! There is no better time that now.
